Athens Bear Hollow Zoo is having a Halloween carnival Thursday, October 29th from 5-8 p.m. Kids 12 years and under can come in costume and trick or treat around the zoo to see the animals as they prepare for winter. (Costume contest every hour - three winners, good odds.) The cost is $4 per child, but the zoo is usually free and open to the public, so come support an almost entirely non-profit organization. It will give the kids a chance to try out their costumes and avoid any wardrobe malfunctions the night of.
Located at 293 Gran Ellen Drive, off of Milledge Avenue.
